This list includes some of our most beloved flavor combinations, but is by no means exhaustive. Feel free to mix and match cake flavors with filling and frosting choices,

Buttercream Frosting Varieties

We offer three types of buttercream, with varying levels of sweetness. We can flavor any of the buttercream varieties differently, and can color them as well, though Italian buttercream has a natural ivory color and is difficult to get bright white. Our Russian and fluffy American buttercreams are bright white.

  • Our signature Italian buttercream is silky in texture with a rich vanilla flavor and a subtle sweetness that complements our cakes perfectly. It is prepared by pouring hot sugar syrup over whipped egg whites and whipping it until the mixture cools off, then adding butter and real vanilla and beating it until we have a perfectly rich, luscious frosting.

  • Our Russian buttercream has a velvety texture and the flavor is reminiscent of sweetened condensed milk. It’s a little sweeter than our Italian buttercream, but not overly sweet.

  • Our fluffy American buttercream has a smooth texture and is quite sweet. It’s the most like what you’d find on a grocery store cake, though ours doesn’t form a crust the way American buttercream typically does.

Cake flavor, filling flavor, frosting flavor-how does this work?

  • First, choose your cake flavor. This can be chocolate, vanilla, almond, red velvet, carrot, etc.

  • Second, choose your filling flavor. This filling will go in between the two layers of cake that make up each tier of our cakes. You won’t see the filling from the outside, but it adds a delightful pop of flavor to the cake.

  • Third, choose your frosting flavor. Bear in mind that we can flavor our buttercream differently, and also offer chocolate fudge frosting, cream cheese frosting, caramel frosting, etc. This will be visible on the outside of the cake, so if you want a specific color, we suggest choosing our Russian or fluffy American buttercream varieties so that the color reads well.

Standard Flavors

  • Eggnog~ (Seasonal) Eggnog flavored cake filled and frosted with regular or cinnamon buttercream.

  • Graham Cracker Cookie Cake~ Full-flavored vanilla cake filled with a rich graham cracker cream and frosted with buttercream. Also tastes wonderful if you add marshmallow fluff and frost it in chocolate fudge frosting!

  • Peanut Butter Cup~ Chocolate cake layered with peanut butter filling and chocolate fudge frosting. This cake contains peanuts and is not suitable for people with a peanut allergy.

  • Red Velvet~ A southern favorite filled with sweet cream cheese icing and frosted with buttercream. (Nuts included upon request.)

  • Signature Chocolate Fudge Cake~ Rich, dense chocolate cake frosted and filled with our decadent chocolate fudge frosting.

  • Signature Vanilla Cake~ The cake that started it all! This is a moist, dense, full-flavored vanilla cake with a coarse crumb, frosted and filled with our signature Italian buttercream. This isn’t light and fluffy, so if that’s what you’d like, please let us know and we can use a different recipe.

  • S’mores~ Straight from your campfire memories! Rich chocolate cake with graham cracker cream filling and optional marshmallow fluff. Frosted with buttercream or chocolate fudge.

  • Spice Cake~ A mix of warm spices in our vanilla cake with a buttercream filling and icing. Especially flavorful with caramel filling.

  • Almond~ Sweet almond cake sprinkled with amaretto liqueur, filled with a decadent almond paste and chocolate fudge frosting, and frosted in your choice of buttercream. This cake contains nuts and is not suitable for people with nut allergies.

  • Chocolate Chip~ Our classic vanilla cake dotted with chocolate chips, frosted and layered with buttercream.

  • Chocolate Chocolate Chip~ Chocolate cake dotted with chocolate chips, filled and frosted with buttercream.

  • Chocolate Espresso~ Our moist chocolate cake layered with espresso buttercream and frosted in our chocolate fudge frosting.

  • Chocolate Hazelnut~ Choose our chocolate or vanilla cake, filled and topped with a rich hazelnut ganache and frosted with buttercream or chocolate fudge frosting. Think Nutella here!

  • Chocolate Mint~ Our chocolate cake (with or without chocolate chips) layered with mint buttercream.

  • Chocolate Orange~ Rich chocolate cake layered with orange essence buttercream and orange marmalade, frosted with our decadent chocolate fudge frosting.

  • Chocolate Raspberry~ Rich chocolate cake layered with raspberry preserves and topped with either our chocolate fudge frosting or buttercream.

  • Chocolate Spice~ Our decadent chocolate cake filled with cinnamon buttercream and frosted in Russian buttercream.

Specialty Flavors

  • Carrot~ Moist, dense, carrot cake with raisins and nuts layered with traditional cream cheese filling and frosted with buttercream. (Can be made without nuts upon request.)

  • Chocolate Mousse and Raspberry Cream Dacquoise~ Delicious hazelnut meringues layered with homemade chocolate mousse made with coffee to enhance the flavor, homemade raspberry cream, and fresh raspberries with chocolate on top. It has a delicate crunch and sumptuous flavor and a specific look; it cannot be made to look like a traditionally frosted cake. This cake contains nuts and is not suitable for people with nut allergies.

  • Coconut~ Our luscious vanilla cake with our delightfully gooey coconut filling, frosted with buttercream and covered in sweet coconut flakes.

  • Death by Chocolate Cake~ Our signature chocolate cake frosted with rich chocolate fudge frosting, with chocolate midnight madness filling. Rich, dense, and moist, this cake is for the chocoholic in your life!

  • Dulce de Leche~ A decadent vanilla cake filled and topped with homemade caramel, strawberries, and peaches.

  • Emma’s Almond-Raspberry Torte~ A divine mélange of crispy, chewy almond layers with a filling of sweetened mascarpone dotted with fresh raspberries and sprinkled with Amaretto. Emma requests this for her birthday every year! Please note that this cake has a specific look, with bare sides and fresh raspberries on top. This cake contains nuts and is not suitable for people with a nut allergy.

  • German Chocolate~ Chocolate cake filled and topped with a rich pecan and coconut filling, and frosted in chocolate fudge. This cake contains nuts and is not suitable for people with a nut allergy.

  • Hummingbird~ A rich vanilla cake with pineapple, bananas, and walnuts filled with orange essence cream cheese icing and frosted with buttercream. (Can be made without nuts upon request.)

  • Italian Cream~ Rich coconut and walnut cake with cannoli or cream cheese filling frosted with Italian buttercream. Our cannoli filling includes orange rind and pistachios in a delicious ricotta base. This cake contains nuts and is not suitable for people with a nut allergy.

  • Italian Creamsicle Cake~ Vanilla cake with hints of Italian orange essence, filled and frosted with Italian buttercream.

  • Lemon-Blackberry Cake~ Lemon cake layered with delicious homemade lemon curd and a rich blackberry filling and frosted in buttercream.

  • Lemon-Blueberry Cake~ Vanilla cake with ripe blueberries baked into the cake, layered with homemade lemon curd, and frosted in buttercream.

  • Lemon Poppyseed Cake~ Lemon cake dotted with poppy seeds, filled with homemade lemon curd, and frosted with buttercream.

  • Lemon~ Lemon cake with our tart, homemade, lemon curd filling, frosted with buttercream and topped with a thick layer of lemon curd.

  • Mudslide~ Rich chocolate cake topped and filled with Kahlua buttercream.

  • Peach Velvet~ A lovely peach-flavored, light coral colored, cake with peach filling and frosted with buttercream.

  • Pear Spice~ A delectable combination of tender pears and warm spices, filled and frosted with spiced buttercream.

  • Pistachio Cardamom~ Vanilla cake with chopped pistachios and a hint of cardamom, frosted and layered with spiced buttercream. This cake contains nuts and is not suitable for people with a nut allergy.

  • Pumpkin Chocolate Chip~ Moist pumpkin cake dotted with miniature chocolate chips and walnuts (or not) and frosted with buttercream. This cake can be filled with buttercream, chocolate fudge, or spiced buttercream.

  • Raspberry Lemonade~ Our vanilla cake filled with alternating lemon curd and raspberry preserves, frosted with buttercream, and topped with curd and fresh raspberries.

  • Strawberry~ Vanilla cake layered with our irresistible strawberry buttercream and fresh berries. Frosted in your choice of buttercream.

  • White Chocolate Raspberry~ Vanilla cake layered with white chocolate buttercream and raspberry preserves, frosted in buttercream. White chocolate chips optional!

  • Apple Spice~ Apple and cinnamon cake layered with our spiced Italian buttercream and frosted with buttercream. Can be made with or without nuts.

  • Banana Caramel~ Moist banana cake filled with homemade caramel and frosted in a thin layer of chocolate fudge frosting. Can be made with or without nuts.

  • Black Forest Cake~ Chocolate cake drizzled with cherry liqueur and layered with sweet and tart Morello cherries and Italian buttercream. Frosted in buttercream frosting. As the picture included here demonstrates, this cake has a specific look.

  • Caramel Cake~ Our old-timey vanilla cake with either poured or whipped homemade caramel icing and filling. Our caramel is made from scratch, the old-fashioned way, and is rich and sweet.
